The capital city in Asoria, Yinzen, is devided into three cultural classes:
Moderno: Highly modern, technological area, close to the center of the city.
There are no cars, all transportation is by hover-rails that goes throughout the area.
Usual jobs in this area: Politics, Leaders.
Wersano: Outside the Moderno area. A specialty-society, people born here is born into a spesific occupation, that they have all their life.
Usual jobs in this area: All product and service jobs (Police, Doctors, Pot-makers, Builders, Designer, Industry-workers, etc...)
Magajo: Outside the Wersano area. This area is where magical creatures and people with magic live. It is maintained by 45 "Magistors" that work to maintain this area.
Usual jobs in this area: Military, magical-needed jobs, entertainers.
The city itself is round, with a castle in the enter, with Moderno around it, then Wersano around that, and Magajo around that.
The city is hovering far into the sky, bacuse of a war in the past. The Asoria tribal war. The reason it is not called the Asorian Civil War, is that at that point in time, nowhere in Asoria had cities or countries, but small tribes here and there. Some more advanced then others, but tribes nontheless. During the war, San-Satchiel Murta, a powerful magician, lifted his house up into the sky by forming his magical energy into the ground, creating a heap of dirt imbued with an energy that have the ability to pull dirt and other object toward it's center. Towards the end of the tribal war, several losing tribes found this flying piece of earth and house, and soon they formed the first real city, Yinzen, who would later become the capital of Asoria.
Moderno, being the most high-tech area, was the first and original area, with San-Satchiel’s house (now a large castle) at it’s center. Because if it’s age, it is the largest area, spanning many miles in any direction from the center. Transport in this area consist mostly of speed rails and speed elevators, with the occational highway for transport and mass evacuation. The highways are very large, and the only transport allowed to travel here are 1000 seat person transports (Mass evacuation or prison transport) and item transports.
Wersano is the speciality area. You can only live here if you are born here or if you are giving birth, and want your son/daughter to become a specialist. You are, from birth, chosen to work as something, and your entire life consist of getting better at your craft. Some people may frown upon this, but there is no law saying that you have to stay. Besides, those born into Wersano are considered the best. The elite if you will. Only the best mages in Magajo can hope to compete with their skills, and that is only because of their magic. Wersano was created outside Moderno when peace roamed the land. People didn’t have much to do, so Wersano was created. It started as a way for people to use their time working on a craft. When jobs started becoming plentiful, and peace times became less peaceful, normal people didn’t have the time to work their craft as often, unless they started early enough to master their craft when they started working.
Now, Magajo is another story. And not a short one either. It all started early in what is known as the Magical Regression, a time period of about two years (a long time when you know how long a year is) where magicians were being killed and attacked by a cult that believed magicians where all evil, but their leader was only interested in being the strongest magician. His magic was weak, but he could influence people’s thoughts. Not control, but “nudge” them in the direction he want. With that and the fact that he was good at articulating himself quite well, he managed to double the forces of the cult, making them a deadly foe for magicians everywhere. One might wonder how so many Magicians was killed by those without. The answer lays in years of studying in the arts of magic. You see, the cult was not a new cult. It was an ancient cult from long before the Asorian Tribal War. It was a part of the Msjorloshtav Tribe, who dedicated themselves to understanding the arts of magic. Not so they could use it, but because they understood that in order to destroy the use of magic, they had to understand it.
They came up with a variety of tools and techniques that would render most magic useless against them. The magicians soon understood that if they didn’t stand together, they would all be wiped out. So from all around the world, magicians started meeting on the outskirts of Yinzen, to both protect the other inhabitants, but also so they could more easily hide in the city of they need to. That however, would not be necessary. As soon as magicians started meeting, they found out that the high density of magic created a very beneficiary environment for magic around Yinzen. This led to the discovery of magic density law of nature. The law states that magic attracts magic and strengthen itself when one source of magic comes in contact with/get near another. So with the help of some tricky uses of magic and some very powerful magicians, they managed to destroy the cult. Some members of the cult still live scattered over the world, but with the arrival of the 15 swordmen and the protection of various mage universities around the world, they are not too much of a threat anymore.
